This notice is posted pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act.  (TEX.REV.CIV.STAT.
ANN.art. 6252-17, (Vernon Supp.1990).

The Marion City Council will hold a Public Hearing and regular meeting at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at City Hall Annex in Marion, Texas.  An open meeting will be held concerning the following subjects:
                                                  

  1. Meeting called to order
  2. Roll Call
  3. Invocation
  4. Pledge of Allegiance
  5. Citizens to be Heard

This is the opportunity for visitors and guests to address the City Council on any issue.  City Council may not debate any non-agenda issue, nor may any action be taken on any non-agenda issue at this time however City Council may present any factual response to items brought up by citizens.  (Attorney General Opinion – JC-0169)

  1. Approval of the Financial Statements for the months of July and August 2010
  2. Approval of the Check Register for July 30, 2010 – September 2, 2010
  3. Discussion/Possible Action – Approval of the TML Intergovernmental Employee Benefits Pool Continuation of Coverage Administrative Agreement
  4. Discussion/Possible Action – Approval of Resolution 3-2010 a Resolution of the City of Marion, Texas, authorizing the submission of a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program Application to the Texas Department of Rural Affairs for the Planning and Capacity Building Fund; and Authorizing the Mayor to act as the Executive Officer and authorized representative in all matters pertaining to participation in the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program
  5. Discussion/Possible Action – Approval of Resolution 4-2010 a Resolution of the City of Marion, Texas, authorizing the establishment of a Citizen Advisory Committee to review and comment upon the development of Municipal Planning Studies and related Planning issues that may arise from time to time
  6. Planning and Zoning Report
  7. City Council Items (City Council request(s) regarding specific items or staff reports to be scheduled for future agendas)
